About Tasmania

Everyone knows how extraordinary Australia is. But many folks don't know much about that part of Australia called Tasmania.

Here is a very short story.

Tasmania Tasmania is known as the "Island State of Australia" and as the "Apple Isle". It is located about 125 miles (200 km) south of the south eastern corner of mainland Australia, across the Bass Strait.

Tasmania is truly "Green". A United Nations environmental monitoring station uses Tasmania as a reference for the cleanest air and purest water on Earth.

Tassie population is small and has a tradition of doing things locally, hence there are a number of small makers of high-quality products.

All of the products we import come from Australia, either Tasmania or the mainland. All natural and made by people who care.

Why Tasmania?
The purest air and water on planet Earth is the first reason. The pure air and water make the crops grow naturally.

The second part is the people - artisans - making the very best, high quality products from the best ingredients.

The results are evident in the great products we import from "Tassie" and provide to you.

Things you should know about Tassie:

Tasmania is the small island state of Australia. A favorite motto is: The Natural State".

It is located some 250 kilometers south of the continental Aussie mainland.

The island contains a very diverse range of natural elements, rugged mountains, alpine moors, rich agricultural land, gentle valleys with historic towns and villages, hundreds of lakes and sweeping white beaches. Tasmania lies on latitude 42 degrees South.

The only other landmasses that share this latitude are the south island of New Zealand and Southern Chile.

Everywhere else around Tasmania is the Great Southern Ocean with its prevailing westerly winds - the "Roaring Forties". GMO free - Tasmania has a moratorium on gmo crops.
